Dear Ms. Apodaca,
I am writing to say thank you for coming out to Monte Vista Elementary School in El Monte and reading your newly published book, Mr. Worm, Señor Gusano. When I initially read the book, I absolutely loved it. More than ever, I think our students need to consistently hear the message that anything is possible and the “magic is in believing.” Your book captures the imagination and transforms children’s belief in themselves, and encourages them to dream BIG!
Your presentation was inspiring and energized. The children were excited and engaged in the life of Mr. Worm. Your interaction with students was outstanding and you handled all 650 students and all grade levels admirably. Your experience as a teacher, I am sure, has lent itself to your storytelling. My colleagues were impressed and expressed much interest in the story as well. You made our Read Across America week a hit!
Again, thank you for your commitment to children and providing inspiring literature for all ages to enjoy!
Sincerely,
Lena C. Solis
